It was a very wet day and very misty. There were points when visibility was non existent. Unfortunately that was at the point we had to cross the road.

We arrived at nine and unloaded ready to present to the vet. She passed the vetting with a slightly high heart rate of 48 beats per min. She was excited though!

At 9.54am we were on our way. The ride was stunning. Hilly in places with many gates. The climb up long Wilmington we done in trot ready for the open field at the top were we had a nice long canter.

We completed the ride in 3 hours and 5 mins which we were very pleased with. We were both drenched through to the skin (kept Gabby cool though). We presented to the vet and had a perfect trot up. Gabby needed no encouragement! Her heart rate had surprisingly come down to a respectable 46 bpm which meant we managed a grading as well (Grade 4). We were both over the moon.

Gabby was still very excited and happy and took one hour to load back into her trailer. She is sooooo cheeky.
