Gabby's Refit

HOME GALLERY

After three months of poos, wees and sausages it was time to dig up Gabby's stable. She was turned out on Saturday and at 9am Sunday morning we all set to work. First the mass dig up which thanks to the help of all the lovely people who love and care for gabby we done in one hour. This was promptly followed by breakfast (bacon and sausages). It was then necessary to jet wash the stable and sweep all the mess we had made, and admire the muck heap which had grown somewhat!

After all that work, it was BBQ time and some Speckled Hen and Bishops Finger!

Now its Monday and time for part two. First some maintenance to the stable. Repair the partition, remove the door, trim the box in the corner, remove the water feeder, sand the walls, etc. Now we were ready for the mass paint job. The three of us chose our areas and away we were. A couple hours later and we were done and ready for, you guessed it, more food. The sausages were on again. This gave enough time for the walls to dry to apply a second coat. Now that was done, we could all go home and relax for a bit.

Upon our return it was time to make her bed for Tuesday morning. 8 bales of straw later and a lot of fun we have our bed.

She came in Tuesday and looked very happy and clean in her refurbished unit.
